“I am a woman. Yes I have been stereotyped. But, I am not ashamed of it!”
We talk about women empowerment, we support the idea of women empowerment, but to a modern woman, it doesn’t seem that this ideology has gone into the minds of the drivers of a male chauvinist Indian society.
Generally a progressive modern woman is always surrounded by a bunch of people, who would always try to put her down. Taking the instance of Kangana Ranaut issue recently, no matter how successful she is – a winner of 3 National awards, yet called a whore and a psychopath.
Some of us might think that if is happening to a star, it’s quite normal to happen in day to day life.
Well ladies, this is the time to realize your strengths and change the perception of the world about you. Because until you start feeling good about yourself, they are going to make you realise that you are not worth it.
ATTRIBUTES OF AN ICONIC WOMAN:
- She knows her business and would not allow you to mess around with her work.
- She is extremely good at managing her work. And as compared to her male counterparts, she is definitely one notch ahead.
- She has a clear mindset about her goals and is determined to achieve that. With crystal clear thoughts and rock solid determination, she sets milestones for others as she makes way for herself in her journey to success.
- She is successful and feels happy about it.
- She does not give a damn if she has someone on her side or not, once set for a target, she isn’t looking back.
- She doesn’t run after money, it pours her way as she accomplishes her goals.
- She doesn’t measure success in terms of money, she is more confident about her skills and has faith in her abilities.
That’s the modern woman. But instead of being proud of her, she is called names. She is seen as some criminal. Criticism of all sorts and to every possible extent comes her way.
The motivation in her life to go ahead is way less than the criticism she is facing. Unknowingly she falls into the trap of self doubt. Because the perpetrators of this criticism are her own family members, her own friends and colleagues. She is made to believe that something is wrong in the success and something is wrong about her.
Now if she gives in, the iconic diva dies. This happens every day, around us, everyday. But, we fail to notice it.
So this is the time to give your mind clarity about what actually you have in you.
“It is your capability.”
And you need to believe in yourself. We have to let go the ideology, that you are right only if everyone around you is happy. Remember, you can’t please everybody.
Secondly you have to save yourself from falling into the traps that society sets for you. There is nothing wrong in walking alone, until you are clear that you are following the right path. At the end of the day, it’s your life and you should be the one who shapes it.
Never let others opinion or misconceptions about your work, determine your actions. Because there is no surety about what intentions they have for you.
There can be nobody else more true to you, than you, yourself. There can be nobody who knows you more than you. So believe in yourself.
No matter whether you are successful or you fail, there will be noise, a lot of noise around you. But once you trust yourself and achieve your goal, the noise will still be present, but there will be peace and contentment within you.
This criticism is a hurdle in the path of your success. Don’t give in.
Get up and fight for yourself. Rise above them. Let your success make so much noise that it takes over the noise of your haters. Don’t let their jealousy and in-competitiveness take away the charm of your skill and intelligence. You are the one who needs to guard yourself against all these evils by giving your best and achieving your goal.
That’s your real victory!
So next time you find yourself in such a situation, don’t doubt yourself. Give it a tough fight and get over it!
This is exactly what needs to be done.
